Bob Denver gained millions of fans worldwide while portraying Gilligan on Gilligan’s Island from 1964 to 1967, but he was so much more than the beloved fictional character trapped on an uncharted island.
Bob lived quite a fascinating life before his death at 70 on September 2, 2005, from complications from cancer treatment.
“Bob was actually very serious, low-key and highly intelligent,” his wife, Dreama Perry Denver, told Closer in September 2024.
